A cast copper-alloy object, possibly a vessel mount from a wooden casket or vessel, possibly of Roman date (c. AD 43-410). The mount depicts a zoomorphic form with a globular head featuring slightly protruding ears, a circular nose, and two recessed circles as eyes. Backing the head is an incomplete and irregularly shaped thin plate with unevenly broken edges. The neck of the figure narrows and thins before widening into a rounded body. The torso is plain.
