Small fragment of a copper-alloy buckle probably of early post medieval date between around AD 1550 to 1650. There is not enough of the buckle remaining to identify its form unambiguously although it is probably the outer edge of one loop of a double looped buckle. The front is convex and has an ornate floral design covering the piece possibly with a pot (or perhaps a crown) containing flowers (a rose?) in the centre. It is made of sheet metal, folded back on itself round a copper alloy axis bar to form two hinged suspension points. The plates are D shaped in plan, but this may be the result of damage. A conical perforated weight made of lead, with hole through from the apex to the base. It is probably Medieval or Post Medieval, dating from about AD 1300 - 1800. The base is slightly more square than round, and there are some deep scratches on the sides. The central hole has a diameter of 3.4mm at the base, tapering to 2.8mm at the apex. Diameter 34.1mm, height 35.9mm, weight 184.25g. The mass is similar to a half pound in the English Troy system (Egan 1998, page 302).

An incomplete copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch dating from AD 75 - 175. Only the head and upper bow survive. It has a 6 coil spring on a hollow tubular axis bar held thorugh a central lug on the back of the head. The head is oval and has a slender bow. It is broken at the acanthus moulding which has a transverse collar above. The moulding appears to continue right round the bow. The lower bow is missing, as is the pin. It meaures length 20.9mm, width 11.5mm, thickness 8.7mm, weight 3.41g. Compare Mackreth type 1, plate 78.

A fragment of the blade end of a copper alloy Bronze Age socketed axehead dating from 1300 BC - 800 BC, type unknown. Only the convex cutting edge survives, with concave sides tapering to a very worn break. The end of the socket is visible across the break. The axe has a pale green patina, with much of the original surface haveing flaked off. It measures: Length 62.3mm, width 26.7mm, thickness 11.5mm, weight 74.62g. It is probably a Northern type of socketed axe.

One end is an incomplete socket os rounded rectangular cross-section.
