A near complete, copper alloy Roman balsamarium. The vessel is in the shape of a bearded man emerging from a calyx. The features and hair of the represented male figure are consistent with Roman depictions of African men. Two integral loops are at either side of the head, where a handle would have been attached. This handle is now missing.  A comparable example of a balsamarium identified as depicting an Ethiopian youth was found in Bishopsgate in London (Sankey 2002: 12-13)

The fragment consists of a globular head, with a groove beneath, and a circular sectioned shaft. The tip of the pin may have been deliberately shortened, it is unclear due to corrosion if the shaft was broken and naturally worn down to a point over time. .

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman bucket mount, dating to the 1st-2nd century AD. The mount is in the form of a bovine swing bucket handle mount. The mount consists of a head of a bull/cow; it would likely have had a large loop above the head, which has been broken and missing. The front of the head has two horns protruding and sticking upwards, one of which is slightly bent back. The face of the animal tapers to a snout and has two eyes and nostrils. A highly damaged and worn Roman lead sling shot, probably dating from the 1st century AD. The object is biconical, thickest at the centre and tapering towards the ends. An assemblage of over 100 lead sling-shots we found on farm in St Albans (south-east of the Roman town of Verulamium) and published by Greep (1987: 183-200), who suggested the possible first century date. The surface of the object is very damaged. Dimentions: length 40.5mm, width 17.2mm and weight 43.93mm

One complete silver post medieval cuff link, probably dating to c. AD.1600-1800. The cufflink comprises an oval plate with an inset glass bead. The rim is folded over the bead with a semi-circular design. Copper alloy Colchester derivative, double lug, Harlow type brooch, dating from AD 43-100. This has a double pieced lug on the rear of the head for the spring and external cord, both of which are missing. The back of the head is decorated with four vertical ridges. The wings extend out either side of the head of the bow, with decorative, vertical ridges on the outer side. The brooch is of an unusually small size.
