Assemblage from a Saxon grave consisting of two copper-alloy disc brooches and a gold plated, copper-alloy possible mount.
The first brooch is a near-complete, Early Anglo-Saxon disc brooch, dated to AD450-550. The plate is flat and circular with a drilled hole in the centre, surrounded by three concentric panels. The inner and middle pannel contain four evenly spaced ring-and-dot motifs, and the outter pannel has six of the same, evenly spaced ring-and-dots moifs.
