A Post-Medieval gold finger-ring of the type known as a puzzle ring, dating to c. AD1700-1900 . It consists of three interlinking gold hoops, each with a sub-square cross-section with rounded angles. The hoops are now bent and slightly mis-shapen, the grooved hoop in particular. This one has tightly spaced transverse grooves around all faces; the other two are undecorated. An incomplete Roman copper alloy spoon with pear-shaped bowl, dating to c AD100 - 150. Crummy 1983, Type 2. The extant item is the pear shaped bowl and the tip of the handle at the shoulder of the bowl. The bowl is quite deeply dished (c3.8mm) and has a chip missing from the rounded edge at the tip. An incomplete early Post Medieval silver gilt single dress-hook, dating to c. AD 1550 – 1650. Read’s (2008) Class D, Type 3. Lozenge shaped. It has a lozenge shaped plate with an applied oval section hook. The main part of the centre-piece is a large collet with eleven supporting ribs, one of which is missing. A knapped flint lithic implement of Early Bronze Age date (c. 2200 - 1000 BC) in the form of a possible thumbnail scraper. The scraper is struck from a secondary flake and retains c.95% of its original cortex. The dorsal surface exhibits a flake scar ridge and short, scaled, abrupt retouch at the edge of the distal end. A small striking platform is present at the proximal end. The scraper measures 21.6mm in length, 20.3mm in width, is 6.5mm thick and weighs 2.36g.

A cast and hand tooled copper alloy furniture fitting / escutcheon plate of late Post-Medieval date c. AD1625-1750. The plate is probably from a drawer from a chest or similar piece of furniture and is decorative in nature. The find is sub-rectangular in plan. It is decorated with incised circular and semi-circular designs, together with a V shape which has fluted edges along the inner lines of the V. Inside the V shape is minute cross hatching decoration. An incomplete Roman copper alloy spoon handle, dating to c. AD 200-400. The undecorated handle rises up to a curve from the tip, which is no longer extant. The handle widens towards the off-set and was originally oval in shape at this part of the handle, with a circular hole pierced through, just before the off-set. The hole may have been used for threading a strap through to suspend the spoon for carrying. A copper-alloy Bronze Age to Medieval copper-alloy awl 1250 BC-AD 1500. The find consists of four straight sides, each one plain, and rectangular in section. Its midpoint is bulbous and the awl tapers inwards terminating in rounded points at each end. Plain copper alloy awls are hard to date precisely but examples of this form are thought to have been introduced in the Bronze Age and they have barely changed throughout the centuries. A base sherd from a Roman vessel dating to c. AD 43-410. A hard mid grey fabric with sparse sub angular dirty grey inclusions which can be scratched with a needle indicating that they are calcareous. The exterior surface sparkles with mica. The base of the sherd is flat, so possibly a bowl. Probably wheel thrown. A fragment of a Roman flat vessel pottery sherd rim, decorated with a single incised line which follows the edge of the rim about 2.5mm from the top. Probably wheel thrown. When placed on a radius chart the rim sherd represents 7.5% of a vessel of 21cm diameter.
