A copper alloy and iron unidentified object, probably Roman in date. It is comprised of a copper alloy strip which gradually narrows. It has a reverse fold at one end. Attached to this is a loop, curving the opposite way and rivetted in place. The opposite end of the copper alloy strip is decorated with a two horizontal lines in relief, and it is curved over at the top. The terminal is lost due to an old break. An incomplete Late Medieval to Post-Medieval copper alloy double loop rectangular framed buckle, dating to c. AD 1450-1600. The buckle is rectangular in plan with the bar slightly offset from the undecorated upper and lower outer edges of the frame. The frame to the left and right of the bar are baluster shaped, being rounded in cross-section with a waisted notch for the pin rest on either side of the frame. A complete Post-Medieval cast copper alloy strap fitting dating to c. AD 1600-1700. The fitting is lozengiform in shape with three transverse ridges across the centre. One of the sub-circular lobes is bent backwards slightly at the top. The upper surface of the mount is convex and the underside is flat. At each end is an integral pointed lug protruding from the reverse of the lobes. The lugs curve round and meet one another, although one terminal is positioned slightly below its twin as the lobe has been bent backwards.
