Part of the top of the suspension loop is missing due to an old break, with only the two lugs and part of the crossbar remaining. The upper and lower hemisphere of the bell is divided by a prominent rib. The find part of a circular ribbed capital with a flat base.  Above the ribbing is a circular band and at the top of the capital there appears to be a layer of cement with a small, flat sherd of slate which has become stuck in the mixture. The pommel takes the form of two addorsed zoomorphic heads which look reptilian, possibly may be snakes or frogs as they have protuberant eyes, large nostrils and wide, slightly open mouths. A complete Post Medieval cast copper alloy oval probable shoe or knee buckle with drilled frame for separate spindle, dating to c. AD 1660-1720. The buckle frame is narrow and curved, rising up at the points where the frame has been drilled. Only a central line around the frame remains of any decoration. An incomplete  Post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop oval buckle with moulded floral decoration, dating to c. AD 1550-1650. The buckle frame has moulded and incised trefoil decoration on the outer edge of each loop and at end end of the strap bar. Part of the outer edge of one loop is missing due to an old break. The pin is also missing. Traces of rust on the buckle suggest the pin was made of iron.  Dimensions: length: 27.6mm; width: 39.9mm; thickness: 2.8mm; weight: 3.63g. A similar buckle can be seen in Whitehead (1996: 65), number 401.

The buckle frame has four filed grooves on each loop giving the  frame a cusped appearance.
