A brass mechanised and orignally sprung powder measure. This machined composite brass element fixed via a screw thread (now lost) to the mouth of a leather powder horn / flask. By depressing the sprung lever a series of shaped slides move allowing a single measure of black powder to be dispensed into the muzzle of a either a musket or rifle. The form of this measure is unusual and is likely to date from the period 1780-1860, being used as an alternative to paper cartridges. Incomplete copper alloy military badge (shoulder title) of modern date (probably WW1), from the King's Shropshire Light Infantry formed 1881. Moulded "PSHIRE" (originally Shropshire but broken) curved top and bottom, with one loop brazed to reverse. Surface is rough and casting appears regular. Colour is dull brown. Two complete copper-alloy annular rings or loops of probable Medieval date (c. 1200-1500). The loops are circular in plan and oval in cross section; they have a regular thickness. The internal surfaces of the rings show no signs of deforming / wear patterns. The surface has an uneven mid-green coloured surface patina.Plain examples such as this are difficult to ascribe to periods due to their uniform nature and he longevity of the overall style. The buckle is broadly sub-rectangular and D-shaped in plan with a missing cast central bar to which a pin and strap plate would have been attached; both have been lost. Cast copper alloy double looped buckle of post-medieval date (1650-1720). The frame of the buckle is oval in plan and a missing cast central bar to which the pin (not present) would have fitted. On either edges of the frame are two recessed pin rests; these form part of a repeating pattern. This pattern is cast and consists of a repeating series of raised panels bordered by two cast recesses. An incomplete post-Medieval multi-pointed spur rowel (c. 1550-1750). Both faces are convex and each point tapers in thickness and width. The distances between the points differs around the rowel and the depth of the point is also variable. In total there five large points each marked with a central making the object resemble a leaf. Copper alloy Jetton of Hanns Krauwinckel II 1586-1635 of Nuremburg. On the obverse of the jetton is concentric positioning of three crowns and three fleur de lys positioned around a flower, the detail around the edge writes HANNS KRAUWINCKEL II VN VR the is unclear. On the reverse is a cross within an outline of an overlapping triangle (upside down) and triskelion in unison (this double lined), the detail is too eroded on the coin to read in entirety but ICHWHB can be made out. The Jetton measures: 24.47mm length, 21.62mm width, 0.46mm thick and weighs 0.9 grams.
