An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester Polden Hill brooch, dating to c. AD 80-120. The brooch is missing its pin.
The head of the brooch survives to a width of 27.5mm. The wings are cylindrical in cross sections, with an open reverse and terminating in a complete wing flat cap at either end. The end-cap is pierced for the axis bar around which is the coiled spring. The spring mechanism survives intact with six loops to the left of the pin and five to the right.ed on the front with three moulded ridges. Fragment of a copper alloy object of possible Roman date. The object consists of a pointed drop-shaped element with a tip turned out at 30 degrees angle. The tip and the opposite side are now missing due to old breaks. Both the front and the reverse side are decorated: half of the face has three longitudinal grooves which leave three thin raised lines; the other half is concave on both sides.
The object has a brown-green patina with traces of corrosion. It measures 25.8 mm in length, 15.4 mm in width, 4.8 mm in thickness and weighs 4.68 g.

An incomplete high zinc or tin copper alloy object of unknown date. The object consists of a circular loop with an attachment end. On the top of the loop is a protusion circular in plan and sub-rectangular in cross section. An irregular and chipped ridge runs from the circular protusion on top along the sides of loop and it is more evident on one side. The loop measures 22.4 mm in diameter and 8.7 mm in thickness. Middle Bronze Age cast copper alloy palstave (axehead) with one side loop dating to BC 1300 to 1150.
The palstave has an old, irregular break at the butt. The septum is gradually thickens from 3.0 mm at the butt to 7.4 mm before the stop. The septum is 54.2 mm in length and 24.4 mm in width. The flanges gradually widen from the butt to the stop to a maximum of 31.4 mm on one side and 29.6 mm on the other side, creating a triangular shape in profile.
