Object is a complete silver, commonwealth penny dating to 1649-1660.The obverse features the English shield, with St George cross within, set within a laurel wreath. The reverse of the coin features two shields side by side, on the left, the shield of England with St George cross within and on the right the shield of Ireland with Irish harp within, both set within a beaded border. The denomination '.I.' is set above the two shields. Overall the coin is quite worn and smooth and its edges are frayed.

The obverse features the bust of George VI (1936-1952) facing left, legend around. reading GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX F :D :IND : IMP., The reverse features a sailing ship facing left, denomination above, HALF PENNY, and date in exergue 1942. The coin is in poor condition and much of the obverse is corroded. It has an orange and green patina with some pitting present. The coin weighs 3.9g and is 25.0mm in diameter.
