Object is a complete, cast copper-alloy button of post-medieval date (c.1600-1700). The obverse is very convex, the rear is slightly concave.  There are no apparent markings or decoration.  The loop appears to be integral.

A complete cast, copper-alloy button post-medieval date (c.1600-1700). The obverse of the object is convex. It is steeply domed with an intricate design. The surface is decorated with an incised motif consisting of an inner circular area with fine hashed markings. The outer edge is marked with 8 semi-circular designs, within each there are 6 lines.  Between each semicircle the is a three lobed leaf design. The reverse of the button has a circular line on the outer edge, and the loop is wire. The button has a dark grey, shiny patina.

Medieval copper alloy button with an integral loop. The front of the head is gently concave and the reverse strongly convex.  There is some marking at the centre of the front face. This area sits within an equal armed cross with each arm consisting of two engraved lines.  The cross is surrounded by two concentric circular grooves. Object is a complete copper alloy button with enamelled decoration dating to the Post Medieval Period (c. 1600-1800). The button is convex with a small projecting dome in the centre. The face is decorated with four bifid or heart shaped cells at N, E, S and W, which contain white enamel, the majority of the button (outside these cells) are filled with green enamel. Copper Alloy Button (possibly repurposed into a pendant?). The button is circular in shape and has a convex obverse. The obverse decoration appears to resemble a sun? The decoration includes a small circle in the centre and 5 wavy 'rays', which radiate from the centre to the perimeter, there also appears to be more 'rays' between these, but no not seem attached. Complete Copper Alloy Button. Thought to be Post Medieval or possibly Late Medieval. The button has a circular head with a domed top and is decorated with three pellets in each quadrant. The back of the head is flat and from it projects an integral, elongated stem. The stem is flat with a small circular hole drilled through it about half way down its length. The object has an overall white patina, with some brown. The button weighs 12.6g and the head has a diameter of 17.72mm. The stem has a length 10.25mm.

18th Century Navy Jacket Button. Made of copper alloy with gold gilding decoration still visible. The obverse features the image of a large anchor and slight decoration. The reverse features the loop where it would have been attached to a jacket. There is a legend on the reverse, but only the words TREBLE GILT can be made out. Small circular decorated button. Button is whole however has a small chip. Button is 18mm in diameter and weighs 4g. The obverse features a small rim around the circumference of the outside of the button, with 8 equal 'slices' which taper inwards to the centre, there is a small circular protrusion in the centre of the button. Each 'slice' is decorated with small lines. The reverse features a damaged loop in the centre. There are letters on the reverse, possibly a make or manufacturers name which state ' _ A _ _ D _', unfortunately the letters are illegible after 12 o'clock.
