A cast copper alloy hooked suspension hanger from a post medieval sword belt suspension set. The hanger is 48.4mm in length with moulded foliate or vine scroll decoration and two rivet holes which have traces of rusted iron rivets. It has a trefoil terminal and a tapering body which ends in lobed terminal with a round hook.

An incomplete cast copper alloy zoomorphic fitting of later early medieval date but of uncertain function. The object is triangular, tapering from a break across a pair of rivet holes to a beast head terminal with a flat attachment loop projecting from the snout. There appears to be indistinct moulded decoration on the front of the plate; details of eyes, brow, ears and snout are visible on the beast head.

A cast copper alloy toggle clasp or fastener of early post medieval date. The object has a triangular plate decorated with ridges and a scalloped rear edge with two rivet holes. The front end narrows to a ridged collar, from which projects a narrow curved neck with a T-shaped transverse bar on the end. The rear end of the plate has a small blind hole next to one of the rivet holes. The underside of the object has a small integrally cast ovoid projection on the underside of the collar.

A cast copper alloy looped fitting of early post medieval date, possibly a suspension hanger for a sword belt. The object has a a symmetrical (bow-tie shaped) plate with a waisted midsection and flanking triangular projections, each with a central rivet hole infilled with the remains of iron rivets. The margins of the plate are cusped, with trefoil terminal ends and the whole has a slightly curved side profile. From one side of the mid section projects a circular suspension or attachment loop.

An unusual cast copper alloy strap hook or hooked fitting of medieval date. The object has a subrectangular plate with slightly concave sides and a plano convex cross section. This has symmetrical decoration of scrolled forms running along the plate, rendered largely illegible by corrosion but probably intended to represent an elongated beast head. One end has a rounded attachment loop with five projections around the edge. The other end has an incomplete hook. C. later 11th-mid 12th century.

A Medieval cast copper alloy hooked strap fitting comprising a bar mount with an (incomplete) hooked terminal. The bar is D-sectioned with moulded ribs, a pierced convex central boss and two rounded terminals, one of which is drilled for a rivet. The hook possibly once held a pendant loop to attach small items or a purse to the belt. Circa 13th - 14th century.

A complete copper alloy Medieval swivel strap fitting dating to c AD 1100-1500. The object comprises a pair of articulated loops, the smaller of which (9mm diameter) has a conical collar with an integral axis peg which sits within a hole in the base of the larger (13.2mm diameter). The sides of the larger loop flare to moulded shoulders at the base plate and have decoration comprising pairs of short incised transverse lines running up into the loop.

The object has a narrow rectangular plate with two rivet holes, both infilled with rusted iron. The rear end of the plate has two notches providing a decorative trefoil. From the front end projects an incomplete hook with a triangular cross section. This originally may have connected to a rear attachment plate.

A heavily worn and corroded cast copper alloy fragment, possibly the front end of a buckle, part of a stirrup strap mount (possibly Williams Class B, Type 3 or 4) or part of a harness link element (cf. the central portion of SUSS-A55F19) of later early medieval date (c. 10th-12th century). The fragment is triangular, with stumps of a frame or plate projecting back and a convex body which tapers to a blunt point and has flanking oblique grooves at the junctions with the stumps. The reverse is concave.

The object has a rectangular plate, with a concave back and faceted edges on all sides. At the upper end of the plate is an integrally cast globular knop drilled for and retaining an iron rivet. An eye section from an early Post Medieval toggle clasp, possibly from a sword belt or hanger. The clasp is one piece with moulded relief, an engraved and openwork plate with two rivet holes complete with corroded remnants of iron rivets, a collar, eye, rounded end bar and circular suspension loop. Both sides of the plate have two deep cusps between a trefoil knop in the centre and two bifurcate knops at either end. The surface has traces of tinning. As Read (2008), p 209, Type 1 number 755.
