A probable Medieval copper-alloy harness pendant dating to circa AD 1200-1400. Plano-convex in section, the piece consists of five - broadly tear-shaped - lobes representing petals arranged in a 2-2-1 formation. At the apex is a transverse projecting collar set below a D-shaped suspension lug. The reverse is plain. The front face retains significant traces of gilding. It has a brown-green patina.  No precise parallel can be found on the database. The gilding would suggest a Medieval date although the patina could potentially suggest a Post Medieval date.  Length: 30.9m…

A complete Medieval copper-alloy harness pendant dating to circa AD 1300-1400. It is shield shaped containing traces of red enamel. The edges of the body are rounded. At the apex is an offset suspension loop, survived now by two short stubs. The front is heraldic but is now so worn that the design cannot be discerned. Traces of red enmale survive in irregularly surviving recessed fields.

A complete Medieval copper-alloy harness pendant suspension mount dating to circa AD 1200-1400. The object is composed of three arms of sub-triangular cross-section and hinged slot for the now missing harness pendant to be accommodated. Each arm has a a pointed projecting terminal set beyond a circular suspension loope. The reverse is plain.  A similar example is recorded under BUC-378FB0

A Medieval copper-alloy harness pendant dating to circa AD 1300-1400. It is shield shaped. At the apex is an offset circular suspension loop with circular aperture. The front face is now very worn but decorated with a heraldic design. It possible depicts 7 beasts arranged in a 3/2/3 formation, with the latter in a 2-1 formation. Between the beats are two deeply incised transverse grooves. The beats and grooves would have been inlaid with enamel, none of which now survivev.s

The lozenge-shaped plate is flat with rounded knops projecting from the cardinal points. Running between the cardinal points is a saltire, each terminating in a cinquefoil, which project from the outer edges. A complete Medieval copper-alloy harness pendant dating to circa AD 1200-1400. At the apex is a flat suspension loop. The plate is scallop-shaped terminating in six rounded knops. The front face is decorated with incised linear grooves each of which contains traces of gilding inlay. A complete Medieval copper-alloy harness pendant dating to circa AD 1200-1400. It consists of a domed plate set below an offset suspension loop. The front face of the plate is now extremely worn but appears to a bare an indeterminable moulded design. Traces of gilding are survive on the front face.  Similar decorative examples include scalloped designs, such as SF-1DF773, dating to the 13th and 14th centuries AD from contexts in London. The suspension loop is offset from the plat and now survived by two prongs. Both faces are plain. There are traces ofgilding on one face. An incomplete copper-alloy early-medieval harness pendant. The fragment consists of the foot. It is flat and is deeply chip-carved with a large amount of gilding surviving. Just below the break there is a human mask with large pellet eyes, triangular nose and a long narrow beard that curves outward to produce a wide inverted 'T' shape.
