Lead weight, probably late medieval to post-medieval in date (c. AD 1400 - 1800). The weight is cylindrical. Both faces are inset. One face has a pattern of recessed ovals around the edge of the inset section. The other face has a recessed oval on one edge of the inset section and a central recessed circle, from which a groove extends to the edge of the inset section on the opposite side to the oval. Lead weight of uncertain date (c. AD 43 - 1800). The object is oval with a circular perforation that does not extend all the way through. A hollowed circular section on the other side of the object may represent an abandoned attempt to extend this perforation. The object is dark grey in colour. It is 24.11mm in length, 21.44mm in width and 17.34mm in thickness. The perforation is 2.43mm in diameter. The object weighs 45.32g. It can be difficult to date lead weights without archaeological context. This example has no diagnostic features that would allow it to be more precisely dated.

Lead conical and perforated weight of post-medieval date (c. AD 1600 - 1800). The weight has a slightly expanded circular base. It is perforated centrally by a circular hole. The object has a white patina with a rough and pitted surface. It is 21.65mm in length, 22.77mm in diameter and weighs 42.09g. There are a number of similar examples recorded on the database, including: LEIC-75FABE and LANCUM-F064D0. There is a great deal of uncertainty over the date of this type of lead weight, although the string retained in the latter example suggests a post-medieval to modern date is most …

Large lead and iron weight of uncertain date, probably Roman or post-medieval. The weight is conical with the remains of an iron suspension loop on the circular base. It has a white patina. It is 79.61mm in length and 49.84mm in diameter. It weighs 768g. It can be difficult to date lead weights without archaeological context. The iron suspension loop is similar to steelyard weights dated to the Roman period, however the conical form of this weight is paralleled by examples that are given a post-medieval date or uncertain date: SUSS-7ACA11, LANCUM-733E0A, GLO-DFCF7C. Lead and iron weight of late medieval or post-medieval date (c. AD 1400 - 1600). The weight was probably formed from pouring molten lead into a thimble; consequently, it is cylindrical in form, with a rounded, hachured end. Two iron stubs protrude from the top: these are the remains of a suspension loop. The object has a white patina with red patches from iron corrosion. The object is 18.61mm in length and 14.88mm in diameter. It weighs 30.32g. See YORYM-413052 for a similar example recorded on the database.
