A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman rosette brooch, dating to the period c. 44-60AD. Flat type rosette brooch, missing the applique front. Only the wings (tips missing) remain along with a top section of the rosette and part of the spring, which would like have had ten coils (five on each side). An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative (hinged) brooch dating to the first century AD. The brooch is missing the spring, pin and catch-plate. D-shaped section bow with solid circular sectioned wings, the tips of the wings and the bottom half of the bow are heavily corroded. The brooch measures 48.36mm in length, and 27.97mm in width. A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman Colchester Derivative brooch with a double pierced lug. Dates to the mid-first to second century AD. Only the head of the brooch with the wings and part of the spring survive. The spring has seven coils remaining on the right side (when looking at the back), the coils on the other side have broken away along with the pin. A fragment of a copper-alloy Late Iron Age / Roman Langton Down brooch, dating to the period c. 25BC - AD 60. The brooch is very corroded and only the head, wings and upper part of the bow remain. The bow is D-shaped in section at the very top and thins to an almost flat section, its remaining length is 20.39mm, width 10.25mm and thickness 3.02mm. Despite the heavy corrosion there is evidence of a central rib. The wings are curved and have a remaining width of 5.86mm, and length of 6.25mm. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman or early plate brooch dating to c. AD 43-1065. The brooch is circular in shape with a flat section, it is almost complete apart from the pin which has broken part way down. The upper surface of the brooch is too eroded and concreted to be able to identify any diagnostic decoration. Diameter: 24.05mm, thickness: 2.17mm, thickness (inc. pin and catch plate): 9.16mm, weight: 5.71g.

A fragment of a copper- alloy Late Iron Age to Roman lion bow brooch, dating to c. AD 20-60. Lion bow brooch with crude reduction to a bow tie. Only the top section of the bow and the wings remain. The pin, fan tailed foot and catchplate are missing. Two prominent horizontal mouldings are present on the bow. Remaining length: 20.23mm, bow width: 5.37mm, total width: 15.51mm, bow thickness: 3.99mm, total thickness: 6mm, weight: 3.4g. Similar to Mackreth, 2011, Brooches in Late Iron Age and Roman Britain, Vol 1 page 30, no. 5947 (Vol 2, page 20).

Only the upper section of the bow is surviving - the hinge, pin and catch-plate are missing, some evidence of silver/white metal gilding. A fragment of a copper-alloy early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) cruciform brooch, dating to c. AD 475-550. All that remains is one of a probable top knop from a cruicifrom brooch of Martin Group Kb5 (Martin, 2015, page 312). The knop is half round and non-detatchable, so has broken off the main brooch. It has been burnt and so is likely to have come from a cremation context. Remaining length: 14.66mm, remaining width: 18.28mm, thickness: 6.39mm, weight: 5.21g.

The hoop is flat in section and is decorated with a central line of punched dots, both edges have been incised with short horizontal lines. A fragment of a copper-alloy early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) object, possibly a brooch or a mount, dating to the 6th or 7th Century AD. The fragment is roughly rectangular in shape with a rectangular section. This object has been burnt, and is possibly from a cremation context. One original curved edge survives the rest are incomplete due to old breaks. In the centre of the fragment is a raised collet with traces of dark red glass or garnet within it. The front face has molded decoration which is mostly obscured by burning apart from a curved possible beak of a bird of prey can be seen.
