Gold angel of Henry VII (1485-1509), Class II, mintmark cinquefoil (1489-1493). The obverse shows St. Michael with feathered wings standing with one foot on the dragon spearing him with a cross-topped lance. The reverse has a ship sailing on the waves surmounted by a shield with a cross above and the letter h to the left and a rose to the right of the cross. There are trefoil stops in the legends. The coin is in excellent condition although struck slightly off-centre on the reverse so that not all of the inscription is complete, Spink 2181.
