A complete lead mount of a probable Medieval date (c. AD 1200-1600). The mount depicts a lion passant facing left, in relief. The reverse of the mount is mostly flat. The object has a brownish white patina. A similar example recorded on the database is SUSS-222314, though the Sussex example has a rectangular backplate. The overall dimensions are as follows: 20.89mm in length, 23.05mm in width, 8.51mm in thickness and 15.39g in weight.

The mount is in the shape of an acorn, which is broadly oval in shape and has knops at opposing ends. The reverse is slightly concave and has the remains of two integral studs. The decoration on the front of the mount consists of the cup and acorn, with a rounded knop at the apex of the acorn and a squared knop at the opposite end representing the twig. The mount is in openwork relief with the back of the mount slightly concave. To the left of the lion's head are two rivet holes on the plate of the mount: one is broken and the other retains the rivet or pin. The opposite end of the mount, to the rear of the lion, are two worn breaks, which may have been a continuation of the openwork decoration. An incomplete copper alloy mount of uncertain date. The mount is a moulded floral design with an integral stud on the reverse. The face of the mount is slightly convex and the reverse slightly concave. There is also a flattened border around the edge of the mount. An incomplete copper alloy possible mount dating to the Early Medieval period (c.AD 720-850). The mount is in the shape of a flower with partial stalk and two leaves which are curved downwards. The mount is concave on the reverse with the remains of an integral lug or pin. The face was decorated with red enamel, since lost, and some gilding is also evident. The mount appears to have been part of a larger object, showing breaks at the base of the stalk and each leaf. The overall dimensions are as follows: 24.47mm in length, 17.23mm in width, 7.63mm in thickness and 3.68g in weight.
