A white semi-opaque glass bead of Iron Age to Modern date (c. 400 BC - AD 1900). The bead is circular in plan, rounded on top with a flat base and has a circular hole through the centre. The hole has an internal diameter of 3.41mm. The outer surface of the bead is smooth with few imperfections.

A light blue glass bead of Iron Age to Modern date (c. 400 BC - AD 1900). The bead is spherical in shape with a circular hole through the centre and is made from an opaque mid-blue glass. The hole has an internal diameter of 2.84mm. The outer surface of the bead is pitted in places with radiating lines indicating turning or filing.
Owing to the lack of diagnostic features and contextual evidence it is very difficult to accurately date simple beads such as this example, because they were in use across a number of different periods.
