An incomplete cast copper-alloy post-medieval dress fastener (c.AD 1500-1650). Read Class E, Type 2. The dress fastener was cast as one piece and has moulded relief decoration. It is shield-shaped and the hook is missing due to an old break. Below the rectangular attachment loop is a transverse broad groove with a swag and ridged collar at the junction of the plate and broken hook area.  Read 2008 p. 90, no. 312

A copper-alloy object, probably a chape, needle holder or decorative ferrule dating from the medieval period (c.AD 1150-1500). Folded and squashed copper-alloy rectangular sheet. The sheet is decorated on both sides with the same design consisting of a central rectangular panel with a double zig-zag or chevron motif, framed by four longitudinal ridges on both sides of the panel.  See for parallel SF-EF3836. The decorative design is similar to that found on medieval objects including a strap end: LIN-07FE60

An incomplete cast copper-alloy medieval buckle and plate dating from the early 13th century - 15th century (c. AD 1200-1500). Similar to Meols Type C, Cassels Type 1.7c Rectangular frame with moulded decoration comprising small projections along both of the slightly bowed sides. A trapezoidal copper-alloy plate is wrapped around the bar. On the outside surface of the plate is a rectangular plano-convex bar mount with chamfered sides attached by a very worn copper-alloy rivet. The pin is missing. The internal bar measurement is 7.58 mm.

An incomplete late Medieval to early post-medieval cast copper alloy asymmetrical buckle dating from the 15th-16th century (c. AD 1400- 1600). Cassels type 1.3P The buckle consists of an oval frame which has a notched pin rest and a smaller rectangular strap loop. The central bar is recessed to hold the pin, and expands towards this notch. The buckle frame is bevelled so it is triangular in cross-section. The reverse of the buckle is flat. The pin is missing. A  roughly triangular fragment of a Roman ceramic pot being part of the rim and the base. The surface is grey in colour, darker on the outer surface. the cross section shows the interior to be grey. The outer surface has  scattered inclusions, possibly iron which may have been part of the decoration. The surfaces are hard, cant be scratched with a fingenail.The surfaces are rough. Width 59.95mm, height 51.50mm, thickness of rim 9.82mm, thickness  of body 6.97mm, weight 31.14 mm. Diameter12cm judged from rim chart.

An incomplete circular copper alloy disc, possibly a mount. There is a circular pieced hole in the centre which may have been for a rivet. The obverse has an incised petal or star pattern. Four of the loops remain. Each contains four incised dots which lie along the length of the loop. The loop pattern lies within an incised circle which links the points of the loops. The circle is 2mm from the edge of the dissc. Between the circle and the disc there maybe a circle of incised dots. The reverse is plain. It is made from two thin flat pieces of metal and  has an open end from which it tapers slightly to the closed end where it terminates in a sub triangular projection.
