A cast copper-alloy Post Medieval cup weight, 28.84mm in diameter and weighing 26.72g. It is not possible to see if there are any markings on the inside bottom of the cup due to corrosion and/or extant residue. There is an incised double-banded linear decoration running around approximately 2/3 of the way up the interior of the surface. the wall thickness is 2.24mm; while the diameter at the botton of the wall is 20.60.mm This cup weight may have formed part of a nested set similar to an example from Salisbury (Saunders 2001; 130, fig. 43, ref: 28b), dated from the 13th century. …

A complete Viking cast lead-alloy trade weight dating from the early medieval period - the 9th or 10th century. The weight comprises a cut fragment of ornamental cast copper alloy metalwork (possibly gilt) set into a lead base. The item appears complete. It is of flat cubic shape with the ornamental copper alloy inset covering all of the upper surface. The decoration of the copper alloy piece is simple: a small square surrounded by four L-shapes with arms of equal length. A possible incomplete copper alloy vessel leg of possible Medieval or Post-Medieval date (c. 1300-1900). The artefact consists of a curved metal bar with broadly sub-rectangular profile and central groove. One end has been broken and polished by the finder revealing a shiny grey metal patina consistent with a high tin content. An incomplete cast copper-alloy cup-headed stud inlaid with green enamel. Sally Worrell has comented that such studs are late Iron Age or Early Roman, usually with either a blue or red enamel (see FAKL-FCD5C7). This example has a green enamel with no traces of blue or red. The head is cup-shaped and is roughly circular in plan. The diameter of the head is 14.44mm and the cup has a thickness of 5.57mm. An incomplete cast lead-alloy steelyard weight dating to the Roman period (AD 43-410). The weight is roughly bi-conical in form consisting of two unequally sized upper and lower hemispheres with a rounded circumferential ridge between them. Incomplete copper alloy rowel spur of later medieval or post medieval date, c. AD 1450-1700. The artefact comprises a curved heel plate with a D-shaped cross section. A copper alloy handle from a seal-top style post-medieval spoon, of probable late 16th or 17th century. So called because the handle terminal resembles a seal, this examples features a flat round discoid terminal with curved baluster style collar and straight stem with oval cross section, broken at the junction between the handle and the spoon bowl. A Post-Medieval small silver spoon dating from circa AD 1750-1800. The bowl is oval but mishapen. The handle is flat and tapers outwards from the bowl. There is a maker's mark 'TN' half way up the handle. The object is delicate and could be part of a child's toy set.  The maker's mark is possibley of Thomas Northcote who is noted as a London Spoon Maker, active in the late 18th C. See Pickford, I., (ed), Jackson's Hallmarks Antique Collectors Club, page 78. An incomplete copper alloy (bronze) probable socketed axehead or chisel fragment, of Late Bronze Age dating (c. 950 BC to c. 750 BC). The expanded blade has a curved convex (crescent shaped) cutting edge which is incomplete. The sides do not appear to be faceted and no ribs are present on either the front or back of the axehead fragment. The blade shows signs of wear to the edge, suggesting that this miniature axehead was a tool and not a small votive offering. A lead sheet with the impression of a Roman coin. The coin impresion is of a Siliqua from the reign of Gratian (367-383) - Reece Period 19. The lead sheet is sub-rectaungular in plan and weighs 70.50g; is 56.23mm long; and has a maximum width of 34.07mm and a minimum width of 26.22mm. It is 4.91mm thick. The impression is situated at the widest part of the sheet and some dammage has occured to the upper right quadrant of the object, which includes part of the impression.
