A complete copper-alloy coin weight manufactured by Cornelius Janssen of Antwerp, dating c. 1564-1604. It is rectangular in plan, with neatly chamfered edges. The upper face depicts a hand within a wreath, flanked by the initials C I, while the opposing face a half-length bust of a king holding a sword is visible. Preserved in somewhat worn condition, it measures 15.12 by 15.06mm, 3.01mm thick, and weighs 5.05g. Compare broadly NMS-1EB7C1 for the image on the upper face. This is probably a weight for the Carolus Guilder.
