A complete cast copper-alloy stirrup strap mount of Williams' Class A, Type 11A, dating c. 1050-1125. The strap mount is broadly triangular in plan, demonstrating a rounded projecting lug with a central circular aperture at its apex (the lug with scalloped edges), below which is a rectangular moulded bar. This is an impersonal 'pedestal' type matrix, demonstrating a triangular projecting handle with a central circular aperture (below which are three transverse collars) which transitions into an expanding facetted handle. A complete cast copper-alloy La Tene I brooch of Adams type 1b, dating to the Early Iron Age, c. 450-300 BC. The brooch survives completely intact, though its pin and part of the spring is somewhat distorted in old damage. It demonstrates a four-coiled spring, the outer coils arching in a semicircle above the head before plunging to form the pin. This example is of Thomas' class A1axiv, 'Split-end strap-ends of convex form with zoomorphic terminals decorated with a single field of Trewhiddle style adornment, depicting two interlaced animals'.
