An incomplete cast copper-alloy brooch of Hod Hill type dating to the Roman period, c. 43-75 AD. The head and pin are missing in old breaks, but otherwise the brooch is preserved intact. It demonstrates the remains of a square mid-section with a double longitudinal ridge and possible projecting lappets to each side. Dividing the mid-section from the lower bow is a double transverse ridge, below which the lower bow (plain and undecorated) tapers towards a prominently knopped foot.
