Incomplete Early Saxon copper alloy small-long brooch of Leeds 1945 square-head (panelled) type dating to the period c. AD 480 - 500. The head is rectangular with a raised rectangular panel at the centre of the head. The panel to each side is decorated by a border of punched crescents. The central panel forms facets at the top of the arched bow which exhibits a slight central mid-rib and terminates in an old break. On the reverse of the head is a single pierced lug housing the corroded remains of the iron spring. The lower bow, foot and catchplate are missing.

Fragment of a Roman copper alloy brooch, probably a headstud type, dating to the period c. AD 75 - 150. Only the foot remains. It comprises a short section of the lower bow with the stub of the catchplate projecting from the reverse. The knobbed foot exhibits a recess at the bottom which retains traces of enamel arranged in a series of concentric circles. The outer circle appears to be black or brown, within is a circle of white enamel and a central recess which would have probably also contained enamel.

Incomplete Roman copper alloy zoomorphic brooch in the form of a frog dating to the period c. AD 100 - 200. The head is rounded and exhibits a series of engraved crescentic lines. There is no obvious indication of eyes, as seen on other examples (see below), however, the head is heavily worn. It commences in a moulded ridge engraved with horizontal grooves and then tapers into the arched bow. At the bottom of the bow the junction between the bow and footplate forms a moulded ridge engraved with horizontal grooves. The remains of the footplate have old breaks on three edges. Fragment of a copper alloy Early Saxon cruciform brooch, probably Martin Type 1, dating to the period c. AD 420 - 500. It commences in an old break across the bow which arches downwards and bends at a right-angle into the foot. The junction between the catchplate and foot is a moulded triple collar with bands of engraved grooves in between. Below is the moulded zoomorphic foot in the form of an animal's head. It exhibits bulbous eyes set either side of a long triangular-sectioned head and bulbous flared nostrils with a rounded snout.

Worn and incomplete Roman bow brooch of unusual form dating to the period c. AD 43 - 150. The wings exhibit integrally cast end caps and a deeply recessed transverse slot containing the corroded remains of an iron axis bar. In the centre of the head is a slot containing the butt of the hinged copper alloy pin. The wings sweep back into the bow which bends downwards and tapers to a heavily worn break. The surface of the brooch is heavily pitted. No trace of decoration is visible. The majority of the bow, the foot and catchplate are missing.
