An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman T shape brooch, dating to AD 43-100. The complete wings are D shaped in cross section with closed terminals. The spring of the hinge is made up of five coils (would have been ten originally) lying against the flat wings on each side of the head, with the chord held under a slight projection at the top of the head. The cord for the coils has been pulled up on top of the wings and has broken off where a new set of coils would have been wound. A copper alloy and iron Roman furniture fitting dating to the period c. AD 43 - 410. The fitting is circular in plan and consists of a upper disc which shows evidence of iron corrosion. This narrows into the circular shaft. Just above the shaft are two circular knops, which sit side by side. The object then widens again into another disc which is its base. This is wider than the upper disc and is concaved inside. The height of this object is 11.27mm, the diameter of the larger disc is 11.41m, and the smaller is 8.33mm. The weight is 3.89g. An incomplete pmultiple motif copper alloy Late Roman bracelet, dating to the period c.AD 300 - 400. The bracelet has a D shape cross section, and has a pattern of transverse grooves and dots. The probable central groves of the bracelet are clustered closely together, but two other grooves are spaced out further apart from the cluster. This applies to either side of the cluster. One side of the separated grooves is a neat line of punched dots in a perfectly straight line. The interior of the bracelet is undecorated. The bracelet has been bent completely out of the place. A fragment of a Roman cast copper alloy spoon dating to the late Roman period AD 250-300. The handle is lozenge in shape and cross section and reflects an unatural bend at c.90 degrees. There are breaks at both ends and only a tiny stub of the bowl remains. The section of the handle before it drops to is decorated with a small series of indents (three in total). The last section of the handle drops and curl inwards creating a "C" shape. It is at this point where the bowl joins the handle. Weight: 4.57g.
