A copper alloy fragment of an unidentifiable object of an uncertain date. The object is incomplete and has been deliberately broken. The surviving section has been folded in upon itself with two incomplete adjoinging perforations located at the break and the folded edge. The lower section terminated in a bevelled edge. The upper edge is incomplete with a rough edge, at the fold this section is smooth suggesting a deliberate cut before the remainder of the object was broken off. A copper alloy and iron Roman furniture fitting dating to the period c. AD 43 - 410. The fitting is circular in plan and consists of a upper disc which shows evidence of iron corrosion. This narrows into the circular shaft. Just above the shaft are two circular knops, which sit side by side. The object then widens again into another disc which is its base. This is wider than the upper disc and is concaved inside. The height of this object is 11.27mm, the diameter of the larger disc is 11.41m, and the smaller is 8.33mm. The weight is 3.89g. A fragment of a Roman copper alloy spoon, dating to AD 43-410. The stem is missing,a small fragment remains of the drop elbow attachment of the stem to the bowl. The stem is rectangular in cross section and in shape. Only a small fragment of the bowl survives, but the "dishing" of it still clear from the elbow attachment. A fragment of a copper alloy, Roman T shape brooch, dating to the period AD 50-150. The fragment is compromised of the wings, head and the very top of the bow. A complete copper alloy square coin weight dating to medieval or post-medieval period (AD 1066- AD 1750 of an uncertain type. The coin weight was originally decorated, but the evidence is rather unclear. On the superior surface is a circle with the unclear initials WDN, on the inferior surface is yet another circle, but further details are worn off and coloured with green patina. A complete post medieval copper alloy mount from a sword belt, dating to the period AD 1500-1600. The mount has an integral forward facing hook and a separate loop. The loop is fixed securely but can move freely on the hook. The main plate of the mount is foliate in design and also possesses two rivet holes, one at the bottom and one at the top. A complete copper alloy, double loop trapezoidal buckle dating to between AD c.1620- AD c.1680. The bands of the buckle bevel on the inside edge, and on each of the 8 angles (obtuse of acute), are pointed knops. The pin is securely attached to the central bar of the buckle, and moved freely at 360 degrees. The most prominent of the knops are the two which create a pointed triangle shape at its tips.
