An incomplete cast copper-alloy post medieval double looped buckle, dating to the period AD c.1550 to c.1650. The buckle is complete except for the pin. It is broadly rectangular in shape with oval loops, measuring 52.81mm in length and 63.17 in width. The weight of the buckle is 26.94g. This buckle has a decorative frame, with pairs of moulded acorns at either end of the now bent central bar. There are traces of incised linear decoration around the acorns, but has faded with time. An incomplete copper-alloy openwork brooch of uncertain date. The brooch is broadly hexagonal in shape and is rectangular in cross section. In the centre of the plate is an openwork design of a circular perforation. The reverse is flat and the remnants of both the single lug and catchplate survive. The pin is missing. An incomplete cast made copper alloy post medieval buckle dating to the period AD c.1575- c.1700. The type of this is buckle is double loop asymmetrical, and it has two sections, a D shape and rectangular. On the D shape loop, the edges are bevelled, and there is also a decorated moulded knop on the far edge. The rectangular section and the central bars edges remain unbevelled, and both are not decorated. The length of this buckle is 18.39mm the width is 13.42mm and the weight is 1.33g. Please see Whitehead (2003) "Buckles" page 92 for similar designs.
