Obverse type depicts a head facng right, pellet hair, pellet in ring for eye, cross and pellet in ring below, pellets in arcs behind, stalk lips. Reverse type shows a triple-tailed annulate horse left, pellet in ring, TED above and AN below. Anted silver type Cf. ABC. no 2072.

A fragment of an Iron Age La Tene type I brooch dating to the period c.400- c.200 BC.
The fragment consist of a part of the head, the bow and part of the foot. The head comprises of the ends point of the bow and is thinner compared to the rest of the bow. The fragment bends as a right angle and immediately increases in thickness at the angle. The bow is smooth, cylindrical in cross section and gradually narrows and tapers to the foot. The foot bends at an obtuse angle and flicks out at its tip. The whole fragment remains undecorated.

A Iron Age or Roman copper alloy fragment of a strip bow brooch, (Aucissa derivative) dating to the 1st century AD.
The fragment is the wings, a small part of the head and the bow. The head of the bow should roll downwards on a strip bow brooch, with this example the head rolls upwarda although this appears to be damage rather than design. The bow is decorated the two grooves, which are filled with tiny incisions. The grooves start at the widest point of the bow, and finish just before the bow narrows to the foot which has broken off. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age to Roman Colchester one piece type brooch, dating to the period AD 25-60. The bow, the wings and the incomplete catchplate survive.
The wings are broadly rectangular and are 14.5mm wide, they are rectangular in cross setion. The loop and initial projection for the spring particually survive, the remainder of the spring and pin are missing. The bow has been bent and projects upwards slightly before curving downwards towards the catchplate. The bow is undecorated and tapers from 5.7mm wide to 2.15mm wide at the foot.
