A complete cast lead spindle whorl of probable medieval date.
The spindle whorl is plano convex with a large central perforation. One faces appears to have a transverse groove encircling the entire whorl, but the other face remains undecorated. In the centre of the cross section, there is also a notable ridge, clearly defining two halves of the object. The metal has a white patina and is worn.
The spindle whorl is 22.39mm in diameter, 7.95mm thick and weighs 27.20 grams.
