A complete copper alloy, double loop trapezoidal buckle dating to between AD c.1620- AD c.1680.
The bands of the buckle bevel on the inside edge, and on each of the 8 angles (obtuse of acute), are pointed knops. The pin is securely attached to the central bar of the buckle, and moved freely at 360 degrees. The most prominent of the knops are the two which create a pointed triangle shape at its tips. The inferior surface remains undecorated, and so does the anterior surface, with exception to transverse grooves on the two opposite rounded knops. There is one grove on each knop and…
