A copper alloy gilded medieval or post-medieval buckle plate, dating to period AD 1400- 1700. The plate is formed from a rectangular sheet of copper-alloy which has been folded in upon itself. There ia recess for the pin. The plate have five perforations which would have held 5 rivets, holding both sheets of copper alloy in place. Three of of these five rivets are still intact, the rest are either completely missing or partially damaged. An incomplete copper alloy medieval single loop buckle dating to the period ADc.1350-1450. As well as being D in shape, the loop of the buckle is D shape in cross section, with bevelled edges and a knop on the far edge. The pin is complete. The buckle plate is formed of a sheet of copper-alloy which has been wrapped around the pin bar with a recess to hold the pin. This sheet has one rivet, which is located at the distal end of the sheet and can be clearly seen through both sheets of copper alloy. To the reverse the sheet is narrower and shorter. A complete cast made medieval copper alloy once piece bar mount dating to c AD 1350-1400. The mount has a central circular section with a circular perforation. From each side of this section are short flat rectangular sections which extend at opposite sides. These terminate with circular lobes, each with a rivet hole. Both rivets remain intact, and the entire mount remains undecorated. The mount weighs 1.49g and measures 31.71mm in length. The circular section is 8.10mm in diameter and it is 2.21mm in thickness. A complete copper alloy sexfoil, convex sheet mount of medieval period AD 1350- 1400. The mount has been die-stamped so that each foil stands up from the next and also has a central perforation. The entire mount remains undecorated, but holds a green patina on all surfaces. It is 13.75mm in diameter and 3.92mm in height. The central hole has a diameter c1.92mm. It weighs 0.46g. A medieval copper alloy composite strap end, dating to AD 1350-1450. It is a composite strap end composed of two plates joined by a spacer. The rivets are well concealed. The strap end is broadly rectangular shape with a small knop projecting from one end, and three knops projecting from the other. The strap end measures 25.17mm in length and 13.85mm wide and 2.86mm in thickness. The weight is 3.12g. Egan and Pritchard (1991) "Dress Accessories: Medieval finds from excavations in London". p. 143, no. 660. Examples can also be found on the PAS database WILT-A7EB29 for example.

A complete copper alloy buckle pin, dating to the medieval to post medieval period AD1400- AD 1700. The buckle oval in cross section and would have attached itself to a central bar of a buckle by the open ended hooks. There is also a notable ridge (almost like a decorative boarder) on the main body of the pin, just below the attachment hook. The pins end is pointed, but fairly rounded. The entire object remains undecorated. The pin is 45.12mm in length, 3.85mm in diameter and 3.92g in weight. Please see WILT- 91B037 on the PAS database for similar.
