A fragment of a copper-alloy medieval to post-medieval cooking vessel, dating to the period AD 1200-1700. The fragment appears to be one strip folded around and over itself three times, in a zig zag formation, with a measurement of 26.92mm in length, 46.01mm in width, 24.29mm at maximum depth, tapering slightly inwards to 23.07mm. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman earring or possibly finger ring, dating to the period 43-410 AD. The object is 25.08mm in diameter, 8.99mm thick except for the central boss which is 14.02mm thick. It consists of an incomplete hoop, a dark olive green/ brown in colour, D-shaped in cross-section with a pair of transverse ridges at one (wider, 4.7x3.2mm) end, narrowing to 2.6x0.9mm at the other end, which bends slightly upwards. An incomplete copper-alloy post-medieval oval double loop buckle frame, which is missing its pin and a small section of one of the loops. It measures 37.17mm in height and 33.30mm in width, the interior of the loop measures 11.16mm in diameter and weighs 5.44g. The loops of the buckle are symmetrical and smooth. The outside is the thickest part of the frame, with the strap bar being the thinnest (at 2.50mm). The strap bar extends upwards to an elongated loop (which measures at 10.51mm high and 3.06mm thick). It is no. 449, p72 of Whitehead.
