An incomplete gilded copper-alloy Roman finger ring with a green glass intaglio setting, dating to the period AD 43-410. It has very thick gilding and under and between this the patina of the ring is quite rough, and dark blue-green in colour. The finger-ring is incomplete insofar as the back of the hoop has broken, possibly relatively recently as the break has not completely re-patinated. The outside of the sherd has raised, smooth bumps, some of which appear to be curlicues while the others are sub-circular in shape. A base and partial body sherd of Surrey Whiteware, dating to 1250-1450. The fabric is mostly smooth, with small stone (quartz and possibly flint) inclusions. The glaze is a speckled mid-dark green in colour and covers the outside surface of the base and walls although there is no evidence of glazing on the inside of the sherd. The base measures 52.68mm in diameter. The width of the sherd is 87.97mm, and has a height of 30.63mm. In total, the sherd weighs 68.53g.

A fragment of a Roman greyware mortaria, dating to the period AD 43- 410. It is broadly rectangular in shape, measuring 37.27mm in length and 35.15mm in width. The fabric is greyware and sandy, and orange in colour on either side as it has been oxidised. However, this oxidisation is not fully completed as the original grey colour can still be seen at the centre of the cross-section. The fragment has small to medium inclusions of quartzite, on what would have been the interior of the mortaria only. It measures 7.55mm in thickness and weighs 14.28g.

Although apaprently flat now, it does not lie flat suggesting it was originally curved. It is decorated with pairs of crescentic punches, seven in total, connected by incised ring and dot decoration, six in total, between. The crescentic punches encompass most of the bracelet, stretching the length of the fragment. There is no discernible decoration on the back of the fragment. A fragment of a copper-alloy late medieval to early post-medieval purse bar of Ward Perkins Type A1, Williams Class A1, dating to the period c. AD 1450 - 1550. It measures 62.25mm in length and including attachment flange measures 10.96mm in width, and is largely oval in cross-section. The conical terminal is 6.79mm in length and 8.23mm in width. It is largely dark brown in patina, with patches of light green. The terminal tapers inwards for the neck, which measures 3.42mm in length and 3.62mm in width. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy horse harness pendant, dating to the period 1200-1400. It is incomplete insofar as the suspension loop has broken off, leaving only the rectangular projection from which the suspension loop was originally attached. The harness pendant is shield shaped, measuring 26.53mm in width, tapering to a point at 31.31mm length. The harness pendant is 2.91mm in thickness. The motif on the harness pendant is that of the "pelican in her piety", which is a pelican plucking at her own chest to feed her chicks with her blood. This is a common Christian motif of …

A fragment of Roman ceramic building material in the form of a box flue tile, dating to the period AD 43-410. It is broadly rectangular in shape with a triangular edge, measuring 61.67mm in length, 56.34mm in width and 16.59mm in thickness. No original edges survive. The fabric is sandy and oxidised on each side, but has not be oxidised fully through as the centre of the tile is grey. A complete cast copper-alloy late early-medieval mount, dating to the period 950-1100. It is sub-triangular in shape, measuring 28.62mm in length and 30.21mm in width. The thickness is 2.09mm, and it is concavo-convex in profile (the reverse being concave). The front of the mount has Viking Ringerike-style decoration, with a round, iron rivet still in situ in each corner (each in a state of corrosion). The two arms on the left extend from the plate, and measure 3.02mm in height. These have broken after the curve. The buckle plate itself measures 20.62mm in length and 17.05mm in width, and is rectangular in shape. The motif within is enclosed by a rim 1.86mm wide. A complete post medieval lead token, dating to the period 1500-1800. One face has a broadly rectangular rimmed shape, which has been divided equally and longitudinally in two. On top of this, there is a rimmed triangular projection on top. This triangle has two rimmed lines within which align to form a broadly lozenge shape at the top of the triangle. The artefact has a broadly square top with a conical projection from one side- 6.46mm in height and 10.15mm in width. There are two dished ovals, on opposite sides, of the square before the conical projection. The artefact may be zoomorphic, these dished ovals may be eyes and the conical projection a snout or beak. A post medieval token of possibly Thomas Chapman of Walkern, Hertfordshire, dated 1667; Williamson no. 199 (1967, p. 328). The token's surfaces are very worn and corroded. The reverse legend is illegible, but the obverse appears to read THOMAS CO[...]. However no parallel with a 'grocer's arms' obverse appears in Williamson for the surrounding counties. It measures 13.58mm in diameter, 0.49mm thick and weighs 0.31g.

An incomplete copper-alloy possible bracelet, of uncertain date but probably dating between AD 900-1800. It is curving in shape and circular in cross-section, with a worn break at either end. If circular, its internal diameter would have originally been c.60mm. Around the outside of the fragment there is moulded transverse ribbing, but aside from this there is no discernible decoration.
