A fragment of a Roman copper-alloy finger-ring, dating to the period AD 43-410. All that remains of the ring is the bezel and shoulders, although part of the hoop on the right hand has remained, although it has broken off and now bends inwards to the underside of the bezel, measuring 2.62mm in thickness. It is possibly a Henig Type II. The bezel is broadly circular in shape, and measures 10.93 in diameter. An incomplete gilded copper-alloy Roman finger ring with a green glass intaglio setting, dating to the period AD 43-410. It has very thick gilding and under and between this the patina of the ring is quite rough, and dark blue-green in colour. The finger-ring is incomplete insofar as the back of the hoop has broken, possibly relatively recently as the break has not completely re-patinated.
