A silver medieval penny of Edward I, dating to the period AD 1280-1281. There is a small nick at the base of the bust. EDW R ANGL DNS HYB with forward facing bust, VILLA BRISTOLLIE reverse type with solid long cross, three pellets in each quadrant. Class 3d, mint of Bristol, N1019. (North, JJ, 1991, English Hammered Coinage, Vol 2, p 28, no 1019).
