A gold medieval half-noble of Edward III, dating to the period AD 1346-1351. Third coinage. Obverse depicts the king standing facing forward in a ship, crowned and armoured, he holds a sword in right hand and a shield of England and France in left hand. Inscription: EDWAR D GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC DNS HYB. The reverse depicts a floriated cross with a fleur-de-lys at the end of each arm and an ornamented compartment containing a closed E in centre of cross. The object is rectangular in shape, measuring 22.98mm in length, 7.59mm in width and 2.68mm in height/ max.thickness. In total, it weighs 1.42g. A complete gold or possibly gold-plated copper-alloy Late Bronze Age penannular ring, dating to the period 1150-800 BC. The object measures 16.24mm in diameter, is oval in cross-section, and with a gap measuring 2.39mm wide and 3.94mm in height. The thickness of the ring measures 6.59mm. In total, the penannular ring weighs 9.31g. The weight may indicate it is more likely the penannular ring is made of gold, rather than gold plated copper-alloy. It weighs 6.11g and measures 17.73mm in diameter. Obverse: Abstract head of Apollo facing right, leaves downwards, spike with long crescent ('turf cutter'). Reverse: Disjointed horse with long neck going left, pellets above, crab beneath, four horizontal tails.
