An incomplete asymmetrical Roman plate brooch, dating to the period AD 100-250. It is incomplete insofar as the pin is missing, part of the catchplate has broken and one of the knops has partially broken off. The brooch measures 39.02mm in length and 24.74mm at maximum width. Behind the catchplate is a trefoil protrusion, a small central triangle with an oval area to either side: at the centre of each of this is a stamped ring-and-dot. An incomplete buckle frame of probably late early-medieval to early medieval date (c. 1000-1200). It is triangular in shape consisting of two outside edges and the bar. Extensions of the frame either side of the bar, now terminating in old breaks, suggest these originally extended, perhaps into another loop of similar shape. A complete early early-medieval (Anglo Saxon) copper-alloy pin from Type F penannular brooch, dating to the period 410-700. The pin's loop is in the form of a hollow cylindrical or drum-shaped element, presumably cast as one with the shaft. The loop is circular in cross-section and measures 8.41mm in diameter and 11.07mm in length. It is 1.89mm thick. There are prominent rims at either open end, a wide furrow next to each and at the centre two ridges to either side of a raised area. An incomplete medieval copper-alloy buckle with integral plate, dating to the period 1200-1400. From the end opposite to the frame the remains of two hooks extend. The buckle measures 39.46mm in length and 15.29mm at its widest. The thickness of the buckle is 2.17mm, and in total it weighs 3.39g. The buckle is complete except for missing its pin and at least one of the hooks. The presence of iron oxide in a piercing in the plate just behind the frame indicates that the pin was made of iron. A medieval/ post-medieval rectangular double-looped buckle frame complete with sheet pin, dating to the period 1200-1700. The frame has been bevelled on the outside, measuring 29.29mm in length and 19.75mm in width. Both loops are angled upwards. The frame is 3.07mm in thickness. The pin is D-shaped in cross-section, pointed at the tip and curling around the bar at the other end. The pin measures 19.11mm in length and 3.39mm in width. In total, the buckle weighs 3.68g. There is a buckle similar to this in Whitehead (1996), p75, no.464. The buckle has a dark green patina.

An incomplete medieval single loop buckle, dating to the period c. 1250-1450. It is missing its pin. This buckle has an oval frame, measuring 22.12mm in length and 14.04mm in width. The outside edge is 4.02mm thick and is decorated with eight transverse grooves. The bar is thinner, measuring 2.09mm in thickness. Two moulded knops project from either end of this bar, with one transverse incision on the inside of each knop. A fragment of a copper-alloy Iron Age brooch probably of La Tenè I type, dating to the period 400-200 BC. All that remains of the brooch is the pin, which has a dark brown patina. There is a small notch at the top of the pin, measuring 2.45mm in length and 2.83mm in width. It reveals a lighter brown recess. Opposite to this there is an incised line, which extends 24.6mm the length of the pin. In total the pin measures 45.48mm in length, 2.83mm in width and tapering down to a point. It weighs 1.48g.

An iron spherical object, probably dating to the later post-medieval/ early-modern period, of uncertain function. It weighs 136.29g and measures 33.17mm in diameter. The patina is rough and pitted, and dark brown in colour. PAS colleague Sue Walker suggests '[It] could be from an 18th -19th century lawn cannon, most of them have quite small muzzles but nonetheless are fully functional. Or it could be just the decorative shot that sits next to one'. Peter Reavill comments that iron balls such as this were used as a grinding mechanism in mills.

The pendant itself is 1.19mm thick, and has retained most of its gilding on the front face.
