An incomplete copper-alloy Polden Hill brooch, dating to AD 75-175. The brooch is missing the pin and spring, and the headloop is damaged. It is 39.55mm long and 15.59mm wide at the wings, and weighs 3.90g. The wings are triangular in cross section, with the back of the wings being recessed to accomodate the now missing spring. The wings are not decorated except for a ridge on each wing by the end. At the tip of each wing is a perforated end cap which is broadly triangular in cross section.
