An incomplete cast copper-alloy late Iron Age to Early Roman (AD 20-70) Colchester one-piece brooch. The brooch measures 61.62mm in length and at the wingspan, 14.35mm in width. It is incomplete insofar as the spring, pin and catchplate are missing. At the top of the bow are two protrusions, originally extending into the spring (lower) and forward-facing hook (upper). The top protrusion measures 5.08mm in length and 4.31mm in width, though it tapers slightly in width to 2.16mm. It measures 1.77mm in thickness. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age La Tène I type brooch, dating to the period 400-200 BC. The pin and half of the spring are missing; only two coils remain to one side. The brooch measures 53.36mm in length and 7.68mm maximum width. As the coil meets the bow, there are three transverse incisions spanning the width of the bow, which at this point measures 3.36mm in width. The bow broadens in width to 7.68mm before tapering to a base where three further transverse linear incisions have been made. The length of the bow has at least three longitudinal linear incisions. A fragment of a copper-alloy Iron Age brooch probably of La Tenè I type, dating to the period 400-200 BC. All that remains of the brooch is the pin, which has a dark brown patina. There is a small notch at the top of the pin, measuring 2.45mm in length and 2.83mm in width. It reveals a lighter brown recess. Opposite to this there is an incised line, which extends 24.6mm the length of the pin. In total the pin measures 45.48mm in length, 2.83mm in width and tapering down to a point. It weighs 1.48g.

An incomplete copper-alloy Late Iron Age/ Roman (AD 20-70) Colchester one-piece. The brooch measures 35.72mm in length, 8.17mm wide at the wingspan, and weighs 1.62g. It is missing the pin and pin mechanism. There are two loops at the top of this brooch. The top loop turns back on itself over the bow and is open; this would have formed a forward-facing hook. The bottom loop is beneath this, and extends away from the bow of the brooch. This loop is closed, and measures 2.28mm in diameter; it woudl have extended into the spring mechanism. A complete Iron Age to Roman toggle dating to the period c.100 BC- AD 100. This toggle is broadly cylindrical in shape with discoidal terminals, one either side. These terminals are broadly flat and extend over the main body of the cylinder with a lip. In the middle of the cylinder there is a loop, measuring 3.35mm thick. The loop measures 8.56mm in width and 6.91mm in length. On the underside of the cylinder there is a small perforation, measuring 3.21mm in diameter. An incomplete cast copper alloy terret of late Iron Age or Roman date (300BC-AD 100). The surviving element opf the terret is D shaped in cross section, is 45.51mm long, 10.62mm at its widest, tapering inwards to 7.50mm. The resulting triangular groove appears to have incised striations. These may be decorative as there are even spaces between the incised striations.
