A fragment of a copper-alloy medieval vessel mend, dating to the period AD 1300-1500. There are two sheet metal, copper-alloy rivets, with a diameter of 10.94mm each. What could possibly be a third rivet hole, measuring approximately 7.8mm in diameter, is approximately halfway in between them. In total, this fragment measures 59.76mm in length, 21.29mm wide and 1.34mm in thickness except at the rivets, which are 8.79mm thick. The fragment weighs 10.82g and has a rough patina, being light green in colour with patches of brown.

It is rectangular in shape, measuring 63.15mm in length, 18.98mm wide (except where it tapers slightly inwards at the middle to a width of 14.93mm) and 1.37mm in thickness, except at the rivet which is 7.39mm in thickness. At the top of the fragment there are two holes, and a further one just above the rivet, which measure approximately 5.5mm in diameter, the edges of which are uneven and have no evidence of once containing rivets. The leg is triangular in cross-section, terminating in a worn old break at one end and adjoining the body frament on a curved diagonal. An incomplete medieval to post-medieval copper-alloy leg from a cooking vessel, dating to c.1200-1800. It is D-shaped in cross-section, and weighs 154.51. The fragment measures 56.51mm in length and is max.41.18mm wide. The thickness of the leg is max.17.87mm. A fragment of a copper-alloy cast medieval handle and zoomorphic handle lug from a chafing dish, dating to the period 1250-1500. Overall, the fragment weighs 30.28g, measuring 25.12mm in height and 32.59mm in width. The handle is incomplete, having broken off (old damage) after 18.19mm after the right angled bend. A fragment of an unidentified copper-alloy object, dating to an uncertain period. It measures 20.63mm in length and 19.37mm at the widest point. It tapers down to 11.99mm wide, and is 6.54mm thick. The fragment is broadly rectangular in shape, attached to a now broken circular or semi-circular section. Two incised concentric rings can be seen on this semi-circular section, continuing at the top of the fragment, in between the two breaks. No decoration can be discerned elsewhere on the fragment.

An unidentified and incomplete copper-alloy cylindrical object, of posible Roman date (AD 43-410). It has one open end and one closed end. Old damage has caused a large, irregularly shaped (but broadly rectangular) tear extending from just below the closed end to the opend end, in a diagonal line. To the opposite side of the cylinder a rectangular loop projects, just below the closed end, for 15.14mm. It is 1.53mm thick and particularly worn along its upper, long, edge. An incomplete copper-alloy post-medieval toy miniature cannon, dating to the period c. AD 1600 - c. AD 1750. It measures 33.37mm in length, and is 15.61mm wide across the trunnions. A post medieval token of possibly Thomas Chapman of Walkern, Hertfordshire, dated 1667; Williamson no. 199 (1967, p. 328). The token's surfaces are very worn and corroded. The reverse legend is illegible, but the obverse appears to read THOMAS CO[...]. However no parallel with a 'grocer's arms' obverse appears in Williamson for the surrounding counties. A complete Iron Age to Roman toggle dating to the period c.100 BC- AD 100. This toggle is broadly cylindrical in shape with discoidal terminals, one either side. These terminals are broadly flat and extend over the main body of the cylinder with a lip. In the middle of the cylinder there is a loop, measuring 3.35mm thick. The loop measures 8.56mm in width and 6.91mm in length. On the underside of the cylinder there is a small perforation, measuring 3.21mm in diameter. A complete post-medieval copper-alloy domed thimble, dating to the period 1500-1700. The thimble has a domed top and slightly flared sides. It measures 19.89mm in length and 19.44mm in width. There are hand drilled circular pits arranged in straight lines across the dome, and scrolling foliage on the walls of the thimble. At the base, 9.73mm from the bottom, are two incised lines which encompass border of incised transverse grooves. Below this border there is no foliate design. The patina of the thimble is dark green, and weighs a total of 4.78g.
