It is incomplete insofar as only approximately half of the upper body and the lower body extending to (but not including) the foot survives. All that remains measures 55.19mm in length, 26.36mm in width, 6.52mm thick for the upper body and 7.92mm for the lower body, tapering to a point after 37.13mm. There is a distinctive split in this tubular lower body, in which the now missing pin would have been contained. There is a small notch at the top of the pin, measuring 2.45mm in length and 2.83mm in width. It reveals a lighter brown recess. Opposite to this there is an incised line, which extends 24.6mm the length of the pin. In total the pin measures 45.48mm in length, 2.83mm in width and tapering down to a point. It weighs 1.48g.

A fragment of a copper alloy Roman Polden Hill brooch, dating to the period AD 75-175. The fragment consists of just the wings and the upper half of the bow. It measures 24.86mm in length and 29.58mm in width. The brooch is 4.76mm in thickness, but the wings measure 3.57mm in thickness. The top of the bow has a ridged protrusion which tapers in a trianglar shape into a recess. Either side of this recess are ridges, which extends down in a trianglar shape to the broken end of the bow. After this, there is a further recess and ridge, one either side. An incomplete copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch dating to the period AD c. 43-150. The catchplate is incomplete and the pin is missing. The bow appears to have been bent back towards where the pin would have been, and tapers from 7.41mm to 2.29mm, where it continues to what remains of the catchplate. At the head of the pin there are the remains of two broken pins, one either side. There is a ridge that holds the two spring mechanisms, with complete but undecorated wings extending one either side. The brooch is broadly rectangular in plan, with the arched plate tapering a little towards the top and bottom. The brooch measures 33.15mm in length and 10.76mm at maximum width. A copper alloy medieval square openwork brooch, dating from c. AD 1200 to 1400. It has an asymmetrical, lozenge shape, and each side curves inwards towards the middle. Each corner has rounded and decorative knops. These decorative knops have an incised rim at the base, and above this are punched with linear bands of dots. The brooch has a diameter of 21.15mm and is 1.50mm thick. The pin is contained within a recess, and is a simple, circular section wire-looped pin. The annular brooch weighs 1.34g. This brooch has been recorded as no.817 in Read's "Metal Artefacts in Antiquity" (2001).
