A hoard of fifteen, and one cut, medieval silver pennies, ranging in date from AD 1180- 1217. All of these coins, with the exception of the cut penny are from the reign of John I.
1) Silver cut penny of Henry II, AD 1180-1185. 19.13mm in length, 9.63mm in width, 0.64g.
Obverse: Crowned bust facing out.
Obverse legend: HENRICVS REX.
Reverse: Short voided cross, four pellets in each quarter.
Reverse legend: SAGAR/ON/OXEN
