A medieval silver Venetian soldino of Doge Michele Steno, dating to the period AD 1400-1413. Obverse depicting the Doge kneeling left holding banner, with a star above what appears to be a S on the right hand side. The reverse depicts the winged and nimbate Lion of St Mark facing forward within a circle, holding book of gospels. Mint of Venice.
