An incomplete early post-medieval copper-alloy strap fitting from a sword belt hanger, dating to the period 1500 to 1700. It consists of a incomplete hooked plate.The strap fitting is missing its hooked end and has broken across a rivet hole. Originally this would have been one of a trio of plates, which would have hung from a mount with three suspension loops. In turn, scabbard straps would have been attached to the plates. A complete medieval copper-alloy composite strap end with a cast integral forked spacer plate, dating to the period 1100-1500. The frame is U-shaped, with two U-shaped sheets of metal, one on either side. These are held in place by a single rivet at the base of each plate (on the curve of the U, almost a point). The terminal is oval in shape. From the curve of the frame extends a zoomorphic moulding, 4.87mm maximum width and 2.28mm in thickness. An incomplete medieval copper-alloy double sheet strap end, with a crenelated end and rocker-arm decoration, dating to the period 1200-1500. The strap end is incomplete insofar as one end of the upper sheet appears damaged and missing; the non-crenelated end has rocker-arm decoration extending to the end (suggesting it originally extended beyond it), and does not mirror the shape of the other sheet. A fragment of a early medieval copper-alloy strap end, dating to the period 750-950. The strap end is of Thomas' Class B, Type 4 with zoomorphic terminal and multi-headed decoration. The strap end is sub-triangular in shape with a zoomorphic terminal beyond a trio of transverse grooves. The terminal is in the form of a forward facing animal head with prominent rounded eyes, snub snout and drilled nostrils. An incomplete post-medieval lead cloth seal, dating to the period 1500-1700. It is incomplete insofar as it is one of two discs from a two disc cloth seal. It depicts a crowned rose with an eight-pointed star to the left and a sun to the right. The cloth seal is circular in shape, measuring 25.62mm in diameter and is 3.56mm at its thickest. What remains is a singular disc, possibly disc 2, and what might be the circular rivet wedged securely, 11.42mm in diameter. An incomplete buckle frame of probably late early-medieval to early medieval date (c. 1000-1200). It is triangular in shape consisting of two outside edges and the bar. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age La Tène I type brooch, dating to the period 400-200 BC. The pin and half of the spring are missing; only two coils remain to one side. The brooch measures 53.36mm in length and 7.68mm maximum width. As the coil meets the bow, there are three transverse incisions spanning the width of the bow, which at this point measures 3.36mm in width. The fragment is rectangular in shape, widest at one end (4.82mm) with an old break and tapering over 31.98mm to the opposite end, 4.26mm wide. In profile it forms a shallow curve which is pronounced at one end as a result of old damage. It is flat in cross-section (0.98mm thick) and weighs 0.95g.
