A mostly complete medieval copper alloy folding clasp dating to c.AD1350 - 1400. The folding clasp is 36.20mm in length and 11.41mm in width, and appears to be comprised of two folded sheets of metal, held together by a well concealed rivet. The sheet roller is missing. This is a sub rectangular folding clasp, 25.35mm from the edge of the plate to the bar of the clasp. The meeting point of the clasp and the plates is also where the folding clasp is at its narrowest, measuring at 7.35mm. The folding clasp then remains at this width to the end.
