It is rectangular in shape, measuring 35.15mm in length, 14.76mm wide (except where it tapers slightly inwards at the neck to 9.75mm). It is rectangular in shape, measuring 63.15mm in length, 18.98mm wide (except where it tapers slightly inwards at the middle to a width of 14.93mm) and 1.37mm in thickness, except at the rivet which is 7.39mm in thickness. A fragment of a copper-alloy medieval vessel mend, dating to the period AD 1300-1500. There are two sheet metal, copper-alloy rivets, with a diameter of 10.94mm each. What could possibly be a third rivet hole, measuring approximately 7.8mm in diameter, is approximately halfway in between them. In total, this fragment measures 59.76mm in length, 21.29mm wide and 1.34mm in thickness except at the rivets, which are 8.79mm thick. The fragment weighs 10.82g and has a rough patina, being light green in colour with patches of brown.
