A fragment of a silver gilt post-medieval finger-ring, dating to the period AD 1500-1650. The fragment is rectangular in shape, with three bands running horizontally. The central band is plain, but with three incised letters- "ART", with what might be an "H" before and faint traces after the final letter which may be another letter or start of a new word. On either side of this plain band are two bands of raised singular dots, approximately 17 in each row. Description: An incomplete silver post-medieval dress fastener, probably a cap (or hat) hook, dating to the period AD 1500-1600. This plate resembles a flower, with incisions resembling the folds of the petals and the centre bud of the flower. From the back of this flower plate, where there is no discernible decoration, the hook is attached. It has been flattened on the reverse of the plate and extends between the lower rounded knops. A complete post-medieval silver gilded finger-ring, dating to the period AD 1500-1550. It measures 23.21mm in diameter, 7.12mm in thickness and weighs 6.66g. The decoration is framed by two ridged rims, one either side, which run the entirety of the finger-ring. In between are triangular sections of raised dots, approximately 21 in each section. An incomplete Roman silver finger-ring, dating to the period AD 43-410. It is incomplete insofar as the intaglio which would have been set in the bezel is now missing. The frame of the ring is still complete. It is a Henig Type VIII, measuring 20.57mm in height, 25.58mm in width and weighs 5.89g. An incomplete gilded silver mount, now in two pieces. A post-medieval silver open thimble of probable 17th century date. The body of the thimble is formed from a strip of sheet metal, 0.74mm thick, wrapped around to form a cylinder. The two ends no longer join and leave a gap which measures 0.48mm at the top and 1.98mm at the base. In shape, the cylinder tapers towards the top. A complete cast silver post-medieval (c.1500-c.1800) seal matrix. It weighs 8.83g, measuring 21.42mm in length and 16.76mm in width. The seal matrix has oval face which tapers inwards to a narrowly conical handle and terminates in a circular loop. The juncture between the handle and the loop is marked by two circumferential raised collars. Extending down from these raised collars is a band of hexagonally-faceted ribs, on one of these ribs is the maker's mark.
