An incomplete gilded copper-alloy Roman finger ring with a green glass intaglio setting, dating to the period AD 43-410. It has very thick gilding and under and between this the patina of the ring is quite rough, and dark blue-green in colour. The finger-ring is incomplete insofar as the back of the hoop has broken, possibly relatively recently as the break has not completely re-patinated. A fragment of Middle to Late Bronze Age (c.1500-900 BC) copper-alloy spear. This fragment would have been the very tip of the spearhead, measuring 28.27mm in length and 15.39mm at maximum width. The fragment is lozenge-shaped in cross section and triangular in shape, tapering to a point. The midrib is prominent and tapers on either side to the edges, which are chamfered; the area of chamfering widens considerably towards the tip. The patina for this fragment is very smooth, and dark green in colour. In total, it weighs 7.13g.

A probably late medieval, 14th century gold finger-ring, a plain hoop, rectangular in cross-section, decorated to the outside surface with four grooved Tau crosses (T-shaped, and so-called because of the Greek letter to which it pertains). The Tau crosses are roughly equidistant, though one is a little out. Three of the Tau crosses are the same way up; the fourth is rotated through 180 degrees. A complete cast lead-alloy post-medieval shot, dating to the period 1600-1800. The shot is broadly spherical, with a casting seam midway around the object. There is the remains of a casting sprue and the imprint of a tool, probably pliers, where the sprue was cut. The shot has a smooth patina, and is blueish-grey in colour. Overall, the shot measures 16.36mm in diameter and weighs 19.04g.

Although apaprently flat now, it does not lie flat suggesting it was originally curved. It is decorated with pairs of crescentic punches, seven in total, connected by incised ring and dot decoration, six in total, between. The crescentic punches encompass most of the bracelet, stretching the length of the fragment. There is no discernible decoration on the back of the fragment. The patina is very smooth, and the fragment is grey-green in colour. It weighs 2.56g in total.

An iron spherical object, probably dating to the later post-medieval/ early-modern period, of uncertain function. It weighs 136.29g and measures 33.17mm in diameter. The patina is rough and pitted, and dark brown in colour. PAS colleague Sue Walker suggests '[It] could be from an 18th -19th century lawn cannon, most of them have quite small muzzles but nonetheless are fully functional. Or it could be just the decorative shot that sits next to one'. Peter Reavill comments that iron balls such as this were used as a grinding mechanism in mills.

The thickness of the mount is 9.57mm at the bent integral spiked lugs, tapering to 6.41mm thick. The patina is light green and very shiny. It weighs 1.93g.

A complete post-medieval copper-alloy domed thimble, dating to the period 1500-1700. The thimble has a domed top and slightly flared sides. It measures 19.89mm in length and 19.44mm in width. There are hand drilled circular pits arranged in straight lines across the dome, and scrolling foliage on the walls of the thimble. At the base, 9.73mm from the bottom, are two incised lines which encompass border of incised transverse grooves. Below this border there is no foliate design. The patina of the thimble is dark green, and weighs a total of 4.78g.

A copper-alloy Roman coin, probably a barbarous radiate copying uncertain late-3rd century AD ruler, c.AD 275-285 (Reece period 14). Both faces are uncertain and either (or both) could conceivably have a radiate bust. Uncertain mint.
