An incomplete and slightly twisted medieval lead ampulla, dating to the period AD 1350-1530. It is incomplete insofar as one handle is missing, and the very top of the ampulla appears to have broken off unevenly on one side. On the handle that remains, only part of the handle is attached still to the body and neck of the ampulla. The ampulla measures 37.53mm in length, 35.72mm at the widest point and 6.26mm at the thickest point. An incomplete cast lead-alloy medieval pilgrim's ampulla dating to the period c. AD 1350-1550. It measures 56mm in length, 33.08mm maximum width, 1.43mm in thickness and weighs 43.80g. The ampulla is flask-shaped and was initially had two handles, of which one survives. The ampulla is decorated on the two faces of the lower chamber. Five, probably type 4, medieval horseshoes and four spikes, possibly for the removal of horseshoes, dating to the period AD 1250-1550. Only one horseshoe may have a nail in situ, but otherwise the horseshoes are complete. It is unlikely that these were from the same horse, not just because there are five, but due to the different sizes and weights of each shoe. Clark's "The Medieval Horse and its Equipment" (1995) indicates that horses were not always shod on all four feet (p76), but on two instead. This would also support the conclusion that these shoes were not all from one animal. …

A fragment of a Roman bracelet, dating to the period AD 43-410. It measures 30.43mm in length and 10.41mm in width. Although apaprently flat now, it does not lie flat suggesting it was originally curved. It is decorated with pairs of crescentic punches, seven in total, connected by incised ring and dot decoration, six in total, between. The crescentic punches encompass most of the bracelet, stretching the length of the fragment. There is no discernible decoration on the back of the fragment. The patina is very smooth, and the fragment is grey-green in colour. It weighs 2.56g in total.
