An incomplete copper-alloy Roman earring or possibly finger ring, dating to the period 43-410 AD. The object is 25.08mm in diameter, 8.99mm thick except for the central boss which is 14.02mm thick. It consists of an incomplete hoop, a dark olive green/ brown in colour, D-shaped in cross-section with a pair of transverse ridges at one (wider, 4.7x3.2mm) end, narrowing to 2.6x0.9mm at the other end, which bends slightly upwards.
